The Parish of St Patricks is in the heart of Blythe Ward. The original church was built in 1840 with the proceeds from the sale of land in the parish to build a feeder reservoir (now Earlswood Lakes) for the Stratford Canal.
Free e-cargo bike trials for Solihull businesses and groups

Groups in Solihull are being given the opportunity to try out innovative e-cargo bikes as part of a free borough-wide trial. Solihull Council is hosting a trial day for people to test the electric bikes and learn more about how they can be used to provide a greener and more sustainable form of transportation.
Four types of e-cargo bikes are available to lease for free on a trial basis, with each providing easy access storage spaces with capacity to carry up to 200kg including the rider.

1.At Cllr Ken Hawkins Environment and Infrastructure cabinet decision session on 10 October a report recommending the reduction of the speed limit on roads near to Monkspath Junior and Infant School is before him. The report, following consultation, recommend the speed limit on the following roads be reduced from the existing 30 mph to 20 mph:

In a bid to make busy crossings safer for cyclists and pedestrians Transport for West Midlands (TfWM), part of the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA), and Solihull Council have installed ground-breaking innovative smart sensor technology at a toucan crossing on Solihull’s A34 Stratford Road near Blythe Valley.
