St Patricks C of E Church Salter Street
The Parish of St Patricks is in the heart of Blythe Ward. The original church was built in 1840 with the proceeds from the sale of land in the parish to build a feeder reservoir (now Earlswood Lakes) for the Stratford Canal.
A simple brick building it consisted of a nave and chancel with box pews on the ground floor and galleries on columns on either side of the central aisle, which were accessed by staircases near the west door. In 1899 the church with the exception of the tower was demolished and rebuilt to the design of architect William Bablake
