A application was received on 30th December regarding the proposed re-allocation of Old Yardleians Rugby Club to the sports grounds currently used by Shirley Town and Leafield Ath .
The move will provide first class rugby facilities and protect the future of Old Yards.
The plan is underpinned with the need to provide suitable alternative sites not only for the clubs currently using this site plus two other sites on Tythe Barn Lane .

The backdrop to this the sports fields that have been vacated be will be subject to planning permission being sought for 450 homes affecting Tilehouse Lane and Tythe Barn Lane. And as previously documented in posts, there a great concerns surrounding the lack of infrastructure to sustain such a large development on these sites
